How it works
The last letter of every NRIC/FIN is a checksum computed from the 7 digits and the prefix. This tool recomputes it locally using the standard weighted-sum algorithm. A valid checksum only means the number is well-formed — it does not mean the NRIC has been issued to anyone.
Validation happens entirely in your browser — the number is never transmitted or stored. Supports S, T, F, G and M series.
